Damage Chart: Lower-Low-Medium-High-Higher
Attack Speed Chart: Slower-Slow-Medium-Fast-Faster
The primary weapon. Note that almost all skills require daggers as a weapon to cast. Short Range, Medium-Faster attack speed, Low-High damage. Some assassins use fists for the interval they can have on them.
Light armor is ideal for this class due to their high dexterity. Heavy armor isn't a very effective alternative since dexterity, and not strength, determines their damage, hence damage is reduced due to the extra strength needed to wear heavy armor, and since they lack the HP to be able to suffer the larger amount of hits they will receive.
Assassin in PvP
Assassins are excellent in one-on-one PvP because of the critical hit skills they have. They have very good chances of a critical hit and proficient defense. Otherwise, being surrounded is the big weakness in Assassins. They like killing people one by one, and lack AoE skills, so it's pretty good to attack in a place that has one or two PVPers that are around your level.
Assassin in PvE
At low levels, assassins often have some difficulty due to having to fight in melee (as opposed to ranged, like magic users or archers) with weaker defenses than the other melee classes (due to using light armor, unlike the other melee classes, which usually use heavy armor). Prior to level 89, assassins rely heavily on defensive buffs, and frequently have to use various methods to recover HP (meditation, potions, and charms) when doing PvE quests solo. Low level assassins have to be especially careful to avoid aggroing multiple attackers, so using Zeal genie skill "Earthflame" to lure helps versus groups of mobs. Having someone else along to either tank or heal also helps immensely.
Starting at level 89, however, with the crit rate from the high Dex at that level (helped by the Wolf Emblem skill), the ability to triple spark, plus the HP recovery from the Bloodpaint skill, especially with the addition of high APS (Attacks Per Second) gear, assassins really begin to shine. With good, highly refined and properly sharded gear, not to mention their skills that usually allow them to stealth out of danger, assassins become PvE powerhouses in both solo and squad situations.
Assassin in Territory Wars
Assassins work very easily if they are unnoticed, they can hide behind allies and strike at enemies that are busy killing others, and even high-level people might be an easy target for assassins. If you're working as a team I recommend obtaining Barbarians and Blademasters for hiding. Because while they stand out, you can sneak behind them and kill the enemy.
